At European Matcha Supplier, we partner exclusively with three pesticide-free farms located in Japan’s tea regions:
• Uji: the historical birthplace of ceremonial matcha
• Shizuoka: Japan’s iconic tea heartland
• Kagoshima: rich volcanic soils and naturally vibrant terroir
These farms grow their tea without pesticides, using traditional cultivation methods passed down through generations.
To share this heritage, we organize educational tea tours designed to help you understand everything about matcha from leaf to cup.
Price for our educational tea tours:

You will learn about matcha directly from local experts and tea makers.
Our Kagoshima tour program:
1. Matcha history & education
Learn the complete story of matcha:its origins, cultural evolution, shading techniques, steaming, drying, stone-grinding, and what defines a true ceremonial grade.
2. Guided visit of our pesticide-free farms
Walk through the fields, observe shading structures, learn how leaves are selected, and see how organic, pesticide-free cultivation preserves flavor and purity.
3. Whisk your own matcha
Under the supervision of our tea masters, you will whisk your own matcha bowl using a chasen, following authentic Japanese ceremonial techniques.
4. Matcha tasting menu
A curated tasting experience including:

Important information
Transportation is not included.
Guests must arrange their own travel to Kagoshima.
This tour is conducted in English and led by our owner.
The tour begins at 9:30 AM and ends at 2:15 PM.
We are based in a countryside area of Kagoshima Prefecture, with access by both car and local trains or buses. From Kagoshima City, the journey takes about 1–1.5 hours, and from Kirishima around 40–60 minutes. Detailed directions are provided after booking.
If you plan to stay longer, you may consider booking our on-site accommodation.
Cancellation Policy:
If you cancel more than 7 days before the tour date, or within 24 hours of making the reservation, you will receive a full refund. Cancellations made after this period are not eligible for a refund.
